Frequently Asked Questions

What is curbside groceries?

Curbside Groceries is a mobile supermarket bringing healthy produce, meat, shelf-stable items and more to communities without a more traditional, brick-and-mortar supermarket.

The Capital Area Food Bank created Curbside Groceries after hearing from clients about the need for reliable access to healthy food near where people live and work. We’re a social enterprise business looking to bring you fresh, affordable options that you can easily reach and purchase on foot.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit, debit and SNAP/EBT. And when shop at our DC locations now through August 31, all produce is buy one get one free when you purchase with EBT!

How Do you select stop locations for Curbside groceries?

We listened to feedback from area residents, community leaders, policymakers and nonprofits partners and looked at which neighborhoods may be too far to easily to a traditional grocery store. The result? Curbside Groceries stops where it’s most convenient for you.

How does Curbside Groceries work? What’s shopping like?

Curbside Groceries provides a shopping experience unlike anything currently available in the areas along its route. Customers have their choice of high-quality fresh foods and pantry staples, from fresh fruits and vegetables to dairy and proteins at affordable prices.

Just bring your cash, credit card, debit card or EBT to the truck, take a look at the menu and let our team know what you’d like. We’ll bag it up and check you out. Simple as that.

Patrons will not be able to enter the truck; a Curbside team member will fulfill orders.
Send one member of your household to the truck, if possible. Leave pets at home.
